How I made my PAID collaboration into a long-term partnership

SO YOU LANDED A PAID COLLABORATION BUT HOPE TO EXTEND THE PARTNERSHIP

If you are a content creator or blogger and want to learn how to extend your partnership, keep reading!

So, your collaboration is coming to an end but you really enjoyed working with this brand. It’s worth trying to extend your contract into a long-term partnership. This could mean quarterly campaigns or if they don’t have a further budget, it may be in the form of monthly gifting, etc.

In my experience, the best way to establish a long-term partnership after a 1 time paid collaboration is to go ABOVE and BEYOND. Every content e.g. photo, reel, blog post, etc. that I create, I try my hardest to make it the best content. For sponsored posts, I do the same but I try to go that extra mile.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY ABOVE AND BEYOND?

For example, if the brand is asking for 1 in-feed post, I may post a carousel instead. Usually, during a photoshoot, I am taking many photos anyways so I have a vast collection to choose from. Additionally, carousel posts tend to do better for my engagement as well so I find it a win-win.

CONTINUING THE PARTNERSHIP

After my campaign comes to an end, I like to follow-up with an email. I am very fortunate and appreciative with every brand I work with and like to thank them for believing in me to create quality content for their brand. Comment below if you want to know more on how to email brands to continue partnerships!

WHY LONG-TERM PARTNERSHIPS?

  1. Prolonged brand awareness
  2. More trust and loyalty between the brand, my following and myself
  3. High-quality content generation

Long-term partnerships are great because it allows me to have more time to develop creative content that the brand and my following will resonate with. When regularly posting about the brand over a prolonged period of time, my following will be getting frequent exposure to it, increasing their chances of one day purchasing from the brand. This is what brands want! I find long term partnerships mutually beneficial that help my blog and the brand I am working with to grow!
